You know they're getting desperate for readership when the New Yorker goes sci-fi.....it's just as well, for a publication that values intelligent readers, it's surprising that it wouldn't have something for the true nerds out there.

My favorite book would be "The Road" http://www.ebook-search-queen.com/ebook/The+/The+Road.all.html by Cormac McCarthy. It is my favorite book because it has a lot of action, vivid description, and it's hard to put down! In my opinion, I would think it is the best book of the year. "The Road" has several reviews, and I try my best to spread the news of "The Road."
